NuoDB Announces Webinar On Easing MySQL Performance Pain
Webinar explains how to improve scaling strategies with NuoDB and Tungsten Replicator
Cambridge, MA – July 30, 2013 – NuoDB, Inc., the leader in NewSQL, announced a live webinar entitled “Transitioning to NuoDB with the Tungsten Replicator” on how to avoid the time consuming efforts typically associated with improving MySQL scale out.
Replication enables data from a master MySQL database to be copied to one or more slave MySQL databases. Replication is used to provide better performance by taking some of load off the master database freeing up more compute power.
However the replication process results in the master always being inherently out of synch with the slave. In the event of a disaster, the replicated database lags behind by as much as hours’ worth of data.
During this webcast developers and architects will:
- Learn why typical enterprise strategies for scaling fail to meet modern distributed processing requirements.
- Learn how to get scale and performance without database tricks like sharding – auto or otherwise.
- Learn how to augment a MySQL OLTP system with a NuoDB operational DBMS.
- Hear from Wiqar Chaudry, Technology Evangelist, with database expertise at Pfizer, Alliance Data and others.
The webinar will be presented on:
Wednesday, July 31, 2013
10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM UTC
Admission is free however registration is required.
