Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer, Josh is responsible for NuoDB’s global go-to-market strategy, digital presence, demand generation, product marketing, brand and communications. Under the leadership of Josh, the marketing team @NuoDB organizes itself around 2 guiding principles:
- What are we doing to ensure the success of our current and future customers and
- What are we doing to ensure the success of the sales team we support
Josh set his roots in B2C Marketing with Boston based, Rue La La where he enjoyed a 7+ year run and an acquisition by GSI Commerce in 2009. During his time at Rue La La, he took on a national sales role as a member of the team who launched Rue Local. His sales aspirations would carry him out of Rue La La and out to Framingham, MA where he joined the team at Punchbowl as VP, Sales. For the next year, he would focus his time on selling digital ad space to the party planning applications visitors.
In 2013, he returned to his roots in digital marketing & ecommerce, joining Dyn in Manchester, NH where he would spend the next 5 years. At Dyn, Josh would go on to implement a demand generation discipline for the company and ultimately lead global marketing efforts. In November, 2016, Josh and team would announce that Dyn had been acquired by Oracle and would be joining the company as a Global Business Unit in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure group. 18 months later, Josh would join the team at NuoDB, recognizing the immense opportunity for a distributed SQL database to help solve some of the significant database challenges that come with digital transformations.
Outside of his time at NuoDB, Josh enjoys spending time with his two kids, hanging around the barn with his wife, Jess and when time allots, pursing his never-ending, albeit long way off, dream of being a PGA professional.
