NuoDB Announces Initial Phase Of International Expansion Strategy
Company signs reseller agreement with DATEC, leading Korea reseller, as South Korean economy is poised for continued growth
Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA – January 14, 2014 – NuoDB, Inc., the leader in distributed database technology, today announced the signing of a reseller agreement with DATEC Corporation of Seoul, South Korea. DATEC is a technology and information-consulting firm for a host of brand name customers.
NuoDB targeted South Korea for this initial expansion given the country’s high performing economy, the fourth largest in Asia, and given the strength of NuoDB sales activity in the territory. South Korea is home to numerous global giants like Samsung, Hyundai, LG and Kia, and has a long history of shared interests with the United States.
“Leading analysts predict that in 2014 the South Korean economy will grow at its fastest pace in four years,” stated Barry Morris, NuoDB CEO and Co-Founder.
“As South Korean enterprises expand, many are facing the scalability and performance problems commonly associated with global application deployment. NuoDB’s distributed database technology solves these challenges easily and economically.”
“Given their respected status in Korea’s IT industry, DATEC is the ideal partner to offer the NuoDB solution to their prestigious client roster,” concluded Morris.
“NuoDB’s elastic, distributed database architecture will deliver value to our clients by solving the performance and cost issues that traditional database systems have. NuoDB's scale-out performance can handle a high volume of transactions in less time and at lower cost than other solutions. Its unique geo-distribution architecture will share a single local database across the globe without scalability challenges,” stated DATEC CEO Hakhee Han.
