As senior vice president of engineering, Mark Kaufman is responsible for advancing NuoDB’s unique technology to drive the company’s revenue growth while maintaining high quality, increasing customer value, and expanding the company’s international development team.
With more than 30 years of software development experience - including over 20 years in executive roles - Mark brings a track record of successfully growing high-quality engineering organizations quickly while maintaining quality for complex technology products. In addition to his primary background in Engineering leadership roles, Mark’s career has also included key business leadership roles, including serving as General Manager for Iron Mountain and Interim CEO of ExaGrid, as well as business experience in HP Enterprise, EMC, and other companies. As a result, Mark brings a well-rounded view into how best to balance and prioritize product advancements and timelines based on market requirements.
Most recently, Mark comes to NuoDB from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he served as vice president of engineering with responsibility for all of HPE’s information management products. Mark joined HPE as part of the acquisition of Autonomy (which had just acquired Iron Mountain’s digital group), where he was responsible for digital data protection products in his role as senior vice president of engineering and general manager. Prior to Iron Mountain, Mark served as executive vice president of engineering and interim CEO at ExaGrid and director of engineering at EMC.
