NuoDB Strengthens Executive Management Team to Drive Global Growth
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – July 22, 2015 – NuoDB, the leader in scale-out SQL database technology for global operations, today announced changes to its management team to accelerate growth, drive innovation and expand its geographic footprint.
Barry Morris: Founding CEO of NuoDB, Morris is moving into an executive chairman role to drive the company’s global expansion plan, including spending more time on customer and partner relationships, as well as lead product strategy.
Bob Walmsley: Formerly the EVP of Sales and Services, Bob has been named president and chief executive officer. Bob will be responsible for day-to-day operations and growing the business.
Morris has spent the last five years building NuoDB into the leader in scale-out SQL database technology. Under his leadership, the company has expanded rapidly to support its global customers, including offices and development centers in the U.S. and U.K. and an ecosystem of partners in Asia Pacific. Its employee-base has doubled year-over-year and the company boasts of dozens of enterprise customers and more than 21,000 download users.
